Hi! I’m glad you came to check out my blog about why I think family history is thought-provoking.
We all know one, a family historian who keeps the family heirlooms and wants to remember every detail of a shared memory from an elder. As a child, I was the one who could sit for hours at my Grandmother’s feet and listen to her stories about growing up with eight sisters. I never tired of hearing her rattle off all of their names;
Mamie
Margaret
Pearl
Vera
Hilda
Christine
Isabel
Cheeksie
Dorothy
and Mary Norman was raised as the youngest but was the daughter of the oldest sister, Mamie, who died in childbirth.
So join me in exploring the ups and downs, the ins and outs, the highs and lows of my relationship with the glorious rabbit hole of researching your ancestors.
